This is a timed closing auction. Not every item ends exactly at 7:00pm. Starting at 7:00pm, the first 2 lots will start to close. At 7:01 the next 2 lots will start to close. At 7:02 2 more lots will start to close and so on until all lots have closed out at about 9:20pm, over 2 hours after the auction first started to close. If you or anybody else bids within the final 2 minutes of the close on any given lot, the bidding will automatically extend for another 2 minutes to allow other bidders to place a counter bid. This will continue until there is no further bidding activity within a 2 minute time frame. This is by design and that's what makes it a true auction. If you want to be the successful high bidder then you have to be the person who is willing to bid the highest; it's not possible to "snipe" the bid. Bidding Tips When you click on the bid bar, (and then click again to "confirm bid") you are placing a bid for the next automatic increment. If you click on the down arrow on the right side of the bar you can select from Create Maxbid which will let the computer automatically place your bids for you up to, but not past, the amount you enter.
