My first thought when I saw this was to marvel at its excellent, nearly unused condition. After I examined it more closely I realized why it's nearly unused. The iron is heated in the chrome stove and then held so close to your skull that you probably stood equal chances of branding yourself as you did waving your hair. Further reading made it clear that this was specifically marketed to undertakers and the funeral home industry. No surprise there as any living person would be reluctant to give it a second chance. The complete kit as you see it cost roughly $275 in 1930's equivalent. Seems like a pretty expensive experiment. And if you're not in to the undertaking scene it would probably be great for heating hot dogs.
