#72 • Transvaal Money Box cast iron still bank

Part of 250206 Antiques, Advertising, Coins & More (timed auction by Paul Auction Co. Inc.)

High bid $1,200.00

Status: Sold

Really one of the most desirable of the still banks, it's so popular that it's used as the cover shot on the Penny Bank reference book. The pipe may have been replaced or repaired in the area of the bowl but the rest of the bank is quite good and retains a fair amount of original paint. Made by John Harper & Co. England. 6"
