In my original description, I attributed the crate to Jung Milwaukee based on the Jung Brewing Co. markings, vs the Wm. C. Jung marking used by the Random Lake brewery. I was nearly immediately corrected by an advanced collector whose opinion I highly respect. His position is that this is a Random Lake Jung Brewery piece based on the following: It is a Post Prohibition style crate. Milwaukee Jung shut down in 1920 and never reopened. He does not know of any Pilsener style beer brewed by Milwaukee Jung that uses a 12oz bottle/label. (I ask you, how many people would have that level of knowledge? Hence, my respect for his insight.) With the exception of Jung Brau, Milwaukee used 13 & 13.5 oz bottles. So there you have it.
